This project aimed to modernize Ibirapuera Sports Complex, which houses the main indoor arena in São Paulo, the largest city in Latin America. The proposal was to maintain its architectural lines, which already were part of people’s memory, and promote the reorganization of space.

There was a complex challenge: to reconcile pragmatic needs with the preservation of historical buildings that are in virtually confined spaces for expansion. The equipment should also be reconnected to the Ibirapuera Park, the largest of the city, which it was once part.
