Qatar inaugurated the Wakrah stadium on the 16th of May 2019.
This is the second among the eight stadiums planed for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and second on which Focus Design Partners participated.

Focus Design Partners were
assigned as the DESIGN DEVELOPMENT ARCHITECTS
for the stadium from
2017 to 2019.

This is the second among the eight stadiums planed for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and second on which Focus Design Partners participated.
The stadium was designed by late Zaha Hadid and according to the designers it was inspired by the sails of traditional Dhow boats, used by the pearl divers from the region, weaving through currents of the Persian Gulf.
